Our Story

Big Island Plumeria is a Registered Nursery, certified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, that ships nationwide. Our nursery was created from the founder’s hobby that began years ago on the Big Island of Hawaii. Our family acquired this cared for collection of Plumeria cultivars in 2023 from the founders who are close family friends. They will continue working with us in the background while they enjoy retirement. Our goal is to provide the same quality and customer satisfaction that you have grown accustomed to. Our variety of cultivars have been collected over the years, and our garden continues to grow and flourish. Located in Jacksonville, Florida, we are a family-owned business where all our plants are nurtured and cared for by hand.

Big Island Plumeria evolved from the founder’s love of the islands, particularly, the “Big Island” of Hawaii. The first plumeria cuttings, Hilo Beauty and Celadine, were acquired from the Big Island in 1990. Rooted cuttings propagated from the original trees have brought the tropical beauty and aroma of the islands to the gardens of hundreds of plumeria growers across the nation.
